Overview

The Excel Random Data (Numbers, Dates, Characters and Custom Lists) Generator Software will generate random numbers or dates in a block of MS Excel cells. By instantly creating random numbers, dates, character or customer lists you will save hours of time. Excel 2000 or higher required.

Main Screen

The Excel Random Data Generator Software can be started by clicking on the Add-Ins tab in the Quick Access Toolbar at the top of the screen, then by clicking on the Generator button in the drop down box. Main window is displayed below:

Random Data Generator

Select Range - Input your data range. Hint: Click on the box to the right and highlight your data range.

Data Type

Numbers and Dates

Random Type - Select Number Values, Date Values, or Boolean Values. Complete the fields under the Values Option. Click on Generate button.

Character Set

Make your selections and click the “Generate” button to complete the function.

Custom List

You may select a pre-defined list or select a list of your own. Make your selection and click the “Generate” button to complete the function.

Overwrite Non-empty Cells

Select if you want your non-empty cell overwritten.
